Qualifications

I've been a member of the CrossFit Sarasota gym for quite some time now. It's been my go-to spot since 2014, and I couldn't be happier with the community and workouts. In terms of education, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Florida in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences back in 2020. During the day, I work as an educator which gives me a unique advantage when it comes to coaching my athletes. I'm able to teach them the most effective methods for achieving their fitness goals. It's a fulfilling experience, and I'm glad I can contribute to their success.

I've always been an outdoorsy person and have loved being active since I was young. As a kid, I was constantly biking, swimming, rollerblading, climbing trees, and any other activity that involved movement. Running was a particular passion of mine, and I would enter as many fun runs as I could, often winning first place. In middle school, I joined the cross-country team and also started cheerleading. I continued with cheerleading and track and field throughout high school. Competitive cheerleading allowed me to develop skills in tumbling and strength through stunting. During track, I  specialized in the 100-meter dash, long jump, triple jump, and 4x100 relay. Although I am proud of my achievements in these sports, my biggest accomplishments have come from my time in the gym. I'm always pushing myself to new heights and doing CrossFit has helped me sculpt my body into the best possible shape for the activities I enjoy as an adult.

Growing up, I was always the skinny stick girl. I didn't have much muscle mass. I realized this when I entered high school and wanted to become stronger to support my lifestyle. At first, when I started coming to the gym, I didn't know how to push myself and used very light weights for the first couple of years. Despite slightly improving my muscle mass, I knew I needed to start pushing myself more. As soon as I made that decision, I began to see the results I wanted, become more confident, and grow as an athlete.
